Since funding from the West Yorkshire Combined Authority for the project was approved earlier this year, work has quickly progressed at Northgate House. Work is on track to open the doors to the new sixth form centre by January 2020 and to deliver the new retail and office space in summer 2020.
In March the new site hoardings were installed, marking the start of the next stage of construction to transform Northgate House. In the last two months we have seen the roofing material replaced, foundations being laid for the new sixth form cafe, and installation of building windows. Work has also started on one of the new features of the building, an atrium, lit by a natural skylight. This new addition will provide a feeling of space and light for the future students.
