Overview
We want to know what you think of proposals to change the traffic regulation order (TRO) in an area around George Street and George Square in Halifax town centre.
We will use feedback from this informal consultation to ensure plans for this section of the Halifax Future High Streets project are ready to be submitted for a formal TRO consultation later in the year.

Project aims
The aims of the project are:
- safer, cleaner and more accessible streets,
- a greener, more attractive environment,
- supporting a vibrant local economy, and
- value for money.
We are consulting on these proposals from Wednesday 5 until Wednesday 26 August 2026.
