Key details
We’re enhancing Todmorden Town Hall to make it more accessible, welcoming, flexible and sustainable. Our plans will help this iconic venue reach its full potential by creating opportunities to host a wider variety of events and celebrations for all to enjoy.
Current status
Plans
We’ll build on improvements that we’ve already made to this Grade I listed building, including renovations to the magnificent main hall.
As part of this project we are:
- Opening the grand entrance and installing an external ramp, allowing visitors to enter through the Victorian lobby.
- Creating a new multi-function reception space.
- Making changes to the courtroom to provide a level and flexible meeting space.
- Upgrading one of the toilets on the ground floor to create an accessible unisex toilet.
- Installing a new warming kitchen on the first floor, making it safer to cater for large events.
- Installing a new bar and high-quality audio system in the main hall, enhancing the visitor experience.
- Adding male and female toilet and changing facilities under the stage area.
This project is part of the Todmorden Town Deal, a £17.5m regeneration programme to develop the local economy and transform this market town.
