Save the date – 12 February - University Business Centre
As part of the West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund for the A629 Halifax Town Centre project, we’re planning to introduce some major changes to transport in town.
The proposals for the town centre will provide improved accessibility for all residents and visitors and achieve a greater sense of place. The proposed scheme will reduce congestion and improve pedestrian and cycling connectivity within the historic core of Halifax.
To inform you about our plans we would like to invite you to attend our free business breakfast at the Halifax University Business Centre, Horton Street, HX1 1QE on 12 February at 9am. At the event you will get the opportunity to review our plans, meet our team and grab a bite to eat. We’ll tell you more about our project and answer any questions you may have.
You can sign up to the event by emailing Thenextchapter@calderdale.gov.uk or sign up on Eventbrite by searching for ‘Halifax town centre improvements’.
If you are unable to attend our business breakfast, you can review our detailed plans here. These describe changes to parking (disabled, car and motorcycle), changes to bus and taxi stops, introduction of cycle and pedestrian zones, and rerouting of traffic throughout town.
We're looking forward to seeing you there!
